A tornado caused extensive damage to more than 100 homes in the Memorial Northwest neighborhood near Houston, with severe impacts reported to key infrastructure including the Harris County Emergency Services campus and Klein Fire Department buildings. Power outages peaked at about 28,000 customers, dropping to approximately 4,000 as CenterPoint Energy restored service, while emergency crews worked to clear debris and search for any injured residents. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez confirmed there were no deaths or serious injuries, and the NWS issued a tornado watch and severe thunderstorm warnings for the area.
