Rebels Kill 14 in North Kivu Village Attacks

Military forces are pursuing Allied Democratic Forces rebels after the group killed at least 14 people during simultaneous raids on three villages in North Kivu.The overnight attacks in Lubero territory targeted civilians celebrating the New Year, resulting in the deaths of 12 villagers and two soldiers as 13 houses were burned.Marc Elongo confirmed that Congolese and Ugandan troops are tracking the insurgents following the latest surge of violence in the restive eastern DRC.
