Hugo Powell has become the first child in the UK born to a mother who received a womb from a deceased donor after a successful procedure.His mother, Grace Bell, was born with a condition called MRKH syndrome and underwent the transplant led by Isabel Quiroga at the Oxford Transplant Centre.The family of the anonymous donor expressed pride in her legacy as the charity Womb Transplant UK continues to facilitate these rare operations.
