Lake Superior State University released its 50th annual Banished Words List, identifying the Gen Z slang "6-7" as the most overused phrase of the year.David Travis said social media facilitates the misuse of terms like "cooked" and "demure" because digital posts lack the context of body language or tone.The humorous tradition began in 1976 and currently includes approximately 1,400 submissions from all 50 states and countries such as Brazil and Japan.
