NATO Launches Arctic Sentry as Sweden Deploys Jets to Greenland

NATO has launched the Arctic Sentry military operation to bolster surveillance against Russian and Chinese activity as Sweden deploys fighter jets to patrol Greenland.The initiative comes as European defense ministers meet in Brussels following the absence of USA officials Pete Hegseth and Marco Rubio from recent alliance gatherings.While NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte called for increased European spending, the United Kingdom and Germany have taken over leadership of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group.
