Munich Trial Begins for Farhad N. Over Fatal Car-Ramming

Afghan national Farhad N. appeared in a Munich court on Friday to face trial for a February 2025 car-ramming attack that killed two people and injured 44 others.Prosecutors allege the twenty-five-year-old intentionally drove his vehicle into a crowd of approximately 1,400 trade union demonstrators after being radicalized by extremist online sermons.The suspect, who entered Germany in 2016 and had his asylum request rejected, reportedly targeted the crowd due to anti-Western views and grievances regarding the USA.
