Winter Storm Fern killed at least 16 people and left over 800,000 residents without power after dumping record snow and ice across 26 states in the USA.Major transportation hubs canceled more than 15,000 flights as temperatures reached minus 40 degrees Celsius and Central Park recorded its highest snowfall since 1905.President Trump approved emergency declarations for ten states following the historic weather system which is estimated to have caused $100 billion in economic damage.
