Mayor Labels Berlin Arson Attack Terrorism

Kai Wegner labeled a left-wing arson attack on power infrastructure as terrorism after the strike left tens of thousands without electricity.The extremist organization Vulkangruppe claimed responsibility for the fire that destroyed cables near the Lichterfelde station and affected approximately 50,000 properties.While engineers restored some power by Monday, around 30,000 households remained offline amid freezing temperatures and heating outages.
