The Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) attacked a hospital in the village of Byambwe, killing at least 17 people, including 11 women and six men.Local administrator Col. Alain Kiwewa reported that some victims, including breastfeeding women, were found brutally slaughtered in their hospital beds.The ADF, which has pledged allegiance to the Islamic State since 2009, has a notorious reputation for targeting civilians and has caused thousands of civilian deaths in Congo since 2002.
