Swedish Officer Dies After Ice Block Strike in Austria

A Swedish military officer from the Norrland Dragoon Regiment K4 died on Thursday after being struck by a falling ice block during a climbing exercise in Austria.Colonel Fredrik Andersson confirmed the tragedy occurred during an extended training course, which also left another individual of a different nationality injured and hospitalized.Swedish and Austrian authorities are currently collaborating on an investigation while crisis support has been established for the family and colleagues of the deceased.
