NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) have provided detailed observations of the rare interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS currently passing through our solar system. Multiple spacecraft including Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, ESA's Mars orbiters, and NASA's James Webb Space Telescope have contributed images and data, enhancing knowledge about the comet's origin and composition. NASA scientists assure there is no threat from 3I/ATLAS and describe the event as an unprecedented opportunity to study interstellar materials with further data expected by February 2026.
