#PortlandWest, #USA
Portland leaders demanded ICE suspend operations after federal agents shot and wounded two people outside an east Portland hospital, as the FBI opened an agent-involved shooting investigation and police secured two scenes.Council President Elana Pirtle-Guiney said both wounded people were still alive, while Police Chief Bob Day urged calm amid “heightened emotion and tension” following the Minneapolis killing. The Portland incident came after Renée Nicole Good, 37, was killed during an ICE operation in Minneapolis, fueling Democratic calls to restrict DHS funding, proposals such as warrant requirements and a mask ban, and protests that DHS said led to at least 11 arrests.
