Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) officially ceased its operations after delivering over 3 million food packages in Gaza through Secure Distribution Sites since its establishment in early 2025. The
US State Department claimed
GHF's model prevented
Hamas from misappropriating aid, but the organization faced criticism from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (
OCHA) and
Amnesty International over deadly incidents and alleged rights violations.
Following GHF’s closure, the Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) took over humanitarian aid coordination as UN agencies returned to lead distributions in Gaza.
