A unique Leica M-A camera, custom-designed and gifted to the late Pope Francis by Leica AG, was auctioned for €6.5 million during the 47th Leitz Photographica Auction.The camera features serial number 5,000,000 with papal symbols including the Keys of Peter and Pope Francis's motto, and includes the legendary Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f/1.2 lens.Auctioneer Alexander Sedlak described the bidding as one of the most exciting in the auction house's history, and the proceeds will be donated to charitable causes as intended by Pope Francis.
