Berlin Airport Suspends All Flights Following Freezing Rain

Berlin Brandenburg Airport suspended all flight operations on Friday after freezing rain and black ice made runways dangerously slippery.The closure followed a day of significant disruptions that resulted in 19 injuries on the Autobahn 10 and major rail delays between Hannover and Berlin.German Weather Service meteorologist Tanja Egerer predicts that conditions will improve by the weekend as milder air moves into the region from the south.
