Shooting at South Carolina State University Kills 2 People

Two people were killed and one was injured during a shooting at the Hugine Suites residential complex on the South Carolina State University campus on Thursday evening.The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is investigating the incident which prompted a campus lockdown while the FBI concurrently offered a $100,000 reward for information regarding the mother of Savannah Guthrie.This violence marks the second fatal shooting at the same apartment complex since October 2025 at the historic institution in the USA.
