The NBA postponed the Chicago Bulls–Miami Heat game after moisture and surging humidity made the United Center court an “unplayable” surface, following an extended delay in which crews used mops, brooms, towels and buckets to collect water.League sources cited by The Athletic said humidity inside the arena neared 60 percent, about double a typical game level, as the ice rink under the floorboards for the Chicago Blackhawks melted along the edges amid unseasonably warm, rainy conditions.Fans remained in the stands as public address announcer Tim Sinclair gave updates, but both teams eventually returned to their locker rooms and the matchup will be rescheduled later in the season with the Blackhawks still set to host the Washington Capitals.
