Iran Internet Blackout Deepens After Tehran Rallies Grow

#Tehran, #Iran
Iranian authorities cut internet access nationwide as tens of thousands rallied in Tehran, with Cloudflare Radar saying Iranian IPv6 networks were “completely cut off” and NetBlocks warning the outage hinders communication at a critical moment. At least 45 protesters including eight minors have been killed, Iran Human Rights said, as it reported hundreds wounded and more than 2,000 arrests, while state media put the death toll at a minimum of 21 including security forces. The protests began at Tehran’s Grand Bazaar after economic turmoil and have spread across much of the country, with chants backing Reza Pahlavi and targeting Ali Khamenei, reports of live fire and arson attacks, and new international pressure after Donald Trump and Germany’s foreign minister issued warnings.
