Bertelsmann is preparing for a generational change as Thomas Coesfeld has been appointed by the supervisory board to replace Thomas Rabe as CEO, effective 2027.Clément Schwebig will take over Coesfeld’s position leading BMG after Rabe’s departure, bringing significant experience in managing media operations across Europe and Asia.Thomas Rabe, who has been CEO for 15 years, will assist Coesfeld until his departure in 2026 while aiming to increase revenue from €19 billion to €24 billion within five years.
