Burt Meyer, who invented Rock ’Em Sock ’Em Robots, Lite-Brite, and MouseTrap, died at 99 at King-Bruwaert House, a retirement community in Burr Ridge, Illinois. His toys from the 1960s, including Lite-Brite and Rock ’Em Sock ’Em Robots, transformed children’s play and have been recognized by both Time Magazine and the Strong National Museum of Play.
