Solna Employee Jailed for $1.7M Mick Jagger Romance Scam

A 60-year-old former finance employee was sentenced to three years in prison after stealing over 18 m kr from Solna municipality.The woman claimed she was a victim of a romance scam and believed she was sending money to Mick Jagger to help him with frozen bank accounts.Solna District Court ordered her to pay 18.7 million Swedish kronor in damages after she sent funds to accounts in Ghana, Nigeria, Turkey, and Hong Kong.
