The U.S. Department of Education announced a proposed settlement agreement to end the Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) student loan repayment plan following legal challenges.The agreement will stop enrolling new borrowers, deny pending applications, and transition approximately 7 million current SAVE borrowers to other repayment options.
