Driver Charged After Fatal Crash Kills Anthony Joshua Trainers
Anthony Joshua switched seats from the front to the back just before a fatal crash in Nigeria that killed two of his trainers. The driver, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, reportedly requested the move because the boxer's physique blocked the side mirror before the vehicle struck a stationary truck. Kayode now faces charges for dangerous driving and operating without a license as Joshua recuperates following his release from a hospital in Lagos. The collision occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway after the vehicle allegedly attempted a wrongful overtaking maneuver at high speed. Strength coach Sina Ghami and trainer Latif Ayodele were killed in the impact while Joshua escaped with only minor injuries.Bola Tinubu and
Eddie Hearn offered condolences to the families involved as the trial for Kayode was adjourned until January 20.
