New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced that Donald Trump ordered the release of Columbia University student Elmina Aghayeva after an unannounced Oval Office meeting.Donald Trump and Zohran Mamdani posed with newspapers during their discussion which covered $400M in federal grants and the student's 2016 visa termination.Elmina Aghayeva was detained by federal agents for non-attendance during the administration of Barack Obama before her recent release was confirmed on Instagram.Governor Kathy Hochul proposed a bill to ban agents from schools following the controversial operation that university officials labeled as dangerous and fraudulent.
