Pål Jonson: Ukraine Plans Gripen Purchase With €90B EU Loan

Ukraine intends to purchase Swedish Gripen fighter jets using a portion of a new €90 billion loan provided by the EU.Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson announced the plan following a meeting with Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov during an EU gathering in Brussels.The funding will also support the construction of a robust air defense system while Sweden seeks international co-financing to facilitate the aviation project.
