Former MLB pitcher Dan Serafini was sentenced to life in prison without parole for the 2021 murders of his in-laws at their Lake Tahoe home.Prosecutors argued Dan Serafini ambushed Gary Spohr and Wendy Wood in an attempt to inherit a $23M family fortune following financial ruin.While Gary Spohr died in the initial shooting, Wendy Wood suffered brain damage and later took her own life due to the trauma of the attack.The conviction followed testimony from former nanny Samantha Scott, who admitted to driving Dan Serafini to the scene before the ambush.
