Montparnasse Tower to Close for Renovation Following Record Tourism Year

Montparnasse Tower will close to the public on March 31 for a 600-million-euro renovation following concerns regarding asbestos and structural modernization.The project, announced by Frédéric Lemos at the Hôtel de Ville, includes a glass facade and rooftop greenhouse while expanding green space in the surrounding district.This transformation comes as Paris reports record 2025 tourism figures, including 11 million visitors at Notre Dame and 9 million at the Louvre according to Frédéric Hocquard.
