Federal prosecutors in the
USA indicted and arrested
Mathew Ho,
Brian Curtis Raymond,
Tony Li, and
Harry Chen for conspiring to illegally export advanced
Nvidia GPUs and Hewlett Packard Enterprise supercomputers to
China and
Hong Kong.
The group smuggled about 50 H200 GPUs, 400 A100 GPUs, and 10 Hewlett Packard Enterprise supercomputers with H100 chips using fake contracts and falsified paperwork from late 2023 through mid-2025. They operated through a sham company called Janford Realtor LLC in Tampa, Florida, which acted as a front to resell Nvidia chips to Chinese companies, and all face charges including conspiracy, smuggling, and money laundering with up to 20 years in prison.
