The Svea Court of Appeal acquitted a Swedish-Russian businessman of charges of serious unauthorized intelligence activities against Sweden and the USA.The man had been accused of acting as a procurement agent for the GRU by providing sanctioned technology to Russia via fake companies and using Sweden as a transit country.Court Councillor Håkan Sellman stated that the information gathered did not meet the threshold required for a conviction, representing a setback for the Swedish Security Service and prosecution.
