At Least 15 Die Following Coast Guard Collision Near Chios

Fifteen migrants died after their speedboat from Turkey collided with a Greek Coast Guard patrol vessel near the island of Chios on Tuesday.Emergency teams rescued 25 survivors including eleven children and two officers who were hospitalized while a helicopter and divers searched for missing persons.Deputy Regional Governor Pantelis Vroulis confirmed the fatalities as authorities launched an investigation into the collision that occurred during a pursuit in the Aegean Sea.
