Garnett Genuis Decries Free Speech Attacks After Event Cancellation

#Toronto, #Canada
Conservative MP Garnett Genuis expressed concerns regarding attacks on free speech following the cancellation of his planned event at York University in Toronto. The event, which was scheduled for January 9 to focus on youth unemployment and affordability, was called off after the York University Student Centre determined it did not meet administrative requirements. While Garnett Genuis has successfully hosted similar outreach sessions at other Canadian campuses using public tables, York University officials maintained that their decision was not politically motivated.
