Amazon Shuts Go and Fresh Stores to Prioritize Whole Foods Expansion

Amazon is closing all physical Fresh and Go locations across USA to focus investment on expanding the Whole Foods Market brand.The company will convert several of these storefronts into Whole Foods supermarkets while planning to open 100 more locations and five smaller convenience shops.Despite the closures, the retailer is expanding its same-day grocery delivery to 5,000 cities and testing a large 229,000-square-foot supercenter concept in Illinois.
