Ethiopia reported three confirmed deaths from the Marburg virus after an outbreak in the southwestern Omo region. Health Minister Mekdes Daba announced that the government declared a Marburg outbreak following tests on 17 suspected cases. The WHO (WHO) and the Africa CDC are assisting in preventive measures even though no active cases have been reported.
