Cristina Gusso Biffle posted an inspirational Instagram Story hours before the crash that killed Greg Biffle, their two children and three other passengers, following the Cessna Citation C550’s failed return to Statesville Regional Airport earlier in the day.The jet, registered to GB Aviation Leasing LLC and operating under contract with Biffle, departed shortly after 10:00 a.m., turned back and struck the runway area in a post-impact fire that scattered wreckage across the ninth hole of Lakewood Golf Club, witnesses and first responders said.Investigators led by the NTSB, with personnel from the FAA, FBI and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, are examining weather, maintenance and pilot records as well as air traffic communications, and officials said a final report could take many months to a year or longer.
