US forces began withdrawing from their largest base in northeastern Syria as part of an accelerated plan to exit the country within approximately one month.The departure follows the consolidation of control by the government of President Ahmed al-Sharaa, who has agreed to integrate Kurdish-led forces into the national army.While the US-led coalition maintains a presence at the Rmelan base near the Iraqi border, officials stated that a large-scale presence is no longer required.
