Highway 99 Reopens After 59-Vehicle Pileup During Dense California Fog

Authorities reopened Highway 99 in Tulare County after a massive pileup involving at least 59 vehicles hospitalized 10 people during dense tule fog on Saturday morning.The California Highway Patrol reported that near-zero visibility caused collisions across both directions of a three-mile stretch near Earlimart.National Weather Service officials had previously issued fog advisories for the San Joaquin Valley following several other recent multi-car accidents in the region.
