The European Parliament has voted to delay the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), pushing its start to no earlier than January 1, 2027.The delay, led by a coalition of center-right and far-right lawmakers, passed with 402 in favor and 250 against, amid criticism from developing countries and EU businesses over administrative burdens and compliance uncertainties.Green Party MEP Pär Holmgren condemned the postponement as a "complete scandal and a major disaster" and accused right-wing and far-right groups in the Parliament of sabotaging climate policy.
