The American Automobile Association projects that Thanksgiving travel will reach record highs, with over 81.8 million people journeying at least 50 miles and around 73 million traveling by car. The Federal Aviation Administration and Transportation Security Administration are preparing for more than 360,000 flights and screening over 17.8 million travelers, as severe weather threatens disruptions across major hubs including Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. California expects 9.6 million drivers, and experts including Sheldon H. Jacobson highlight airline readiness, while travelers are advised to plan ahead, check conditions, and follow TSA security rules.
