Six Sperm Whales Die After Stranding on Danish Coast of Fanø

Scientists from the University of Copenhagen began an investigation after six sperm whales died following a mass stranding on the Danish island of Fanø.The Danish Environmental Agency monitored the young male whales as they were discovered between Friday and Saturday near the Skallingen peninsula.Marine biologists are now examining environmental factors in the North Sea to understand why several similar strandings occurred in the region since January.
