The Court of Appeal for Lower Norrland upheld the 18-year prison sentence for Liam Hast following the murder of paramedic Helena Löfgren in Sweden.Liam Hast attacked the 47-year-old victim with a knife after summoning emergency services to his home in September last year.Prosecutors and the family had appealed for a life sentence, but the court ruled that the legal requirements for such a penalty were not fully met.
