179 Prisoners Freed Following Nicolás Maduro's Capture and Amnesty

Venezuela released 179 political prisoners under a new law from Delcy Rodríguez following the capture of Nicolás Maduro by USA forces.Commission head Jorge Arreaza announced that 3,000 individuals on parole were fully cleared while 4,293 total applications for amnesty are currently under review.Human rights organization Foro Penal reported that courts are delaying many requests while 200 inmates remain on a hunger strike over exclusions.
