Adrian Ferguson survived after his reserve parachute snagged on the tail of a Cessna 208 about 4,500 meters above Tully, Queensland, and he used a hook knife to cut himself free, suffering only minor leg injuries.The aircraft carried 17 other skydivers and footage released by the ATSB shows a camera operator being knocked into free fall while 13 jumpers exited and the plane slowed and pitched up as the dangling parachute pulled on the tailplane.ATSB released video and a report, Angus Mitchell urged skydivers to carry a hook knife and the Far North Freefall Club has updated safety protocols; Mike Snider of USA TODAY reported on the incident.
