Carabinieri Arrest Slovak Fugitive at 2026 Winter Olympics

Italian Carabinieri arrested a 44-year-old Slovakian fugitive in Milan after he traveled to the 2026 Winter Olympics to support his national ice hockey team.The man was wanted on a 2010 warrant from a Bolzano court for shoplifting and was tracked through an automated guest registration system at a guesthouse in the Baggio district.He was transported to San Vittore prison to serve an 11-month sentence while his team, led by Juraj Slafkovsky, defeated Finland 4-1 at the Santagiulia Arena.
