NASA Postpones Spacewalk After Crew‑11 Medical Issue

NASA postponed a scheduled spacewalk less than 24 hours before it was due after one Crew‑11 member developed a medical situation, following an earlier announcement in which Jared Isaacman said it was in the best interests to return Crew‑11 ahead of their planned departure.The canceled excursion was to be a 6.5‑hour EVA to prepare a power channel for a new solar array and would have been Zena Cardman’s first spacewalk alongside Mike Fincke on his tenth.Crew‑11, which arrived in August 2025 on a SpaceX Crew Dragon and includes Kimiya Yui and Oleg Platonov, may now be brought home early as managers weigh returning the whole team while long‑duration residents Christopher Williams, Sergey Kud‑Sverchkov and Sergey Mikayev scale back some experiments to maintain station operations.
