“American Idol” Premiere Honors Music Supervisor Robin Kaye After Encino Double Homicide

“American Idol” premiered its 24th season with a tribute to Robin Kaye, a veteran music supervisor killed during a double homicide in July 2025.The dedication follows a court ruling that the suspect, Raymond Boodarian, is mentally incompetent to stand trial for the murders of Kaye and her husband, Tom Deluca.Kaye served the production for 16 years and was responsible for song licensing across more than 300 episodes before her death.
