#Stockholm, #Sweden
Every weather station in Sweden recorded temperatures below zero degrees Celsius for a full 24-hour period on Sunday, marking the first national ice day in two years.Meteorologists Emma Härenstam and Lasse Rydqvist confirmed the record after the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute observed a maximum temperature of minus 0.6 degrees Celsius in Utklippan. This cold snap follows a historically severe January involving Storm Anna and record-breaking cold in Pajala, where resident Birger Lahti reported sixteen consecutive days below minus 30 degrees Celsius.
