Tom Izzo publicly supported referee Jeffrey Anderson following the ejection of former player Paul Davis during Michigan State's 80-51 victory over Southern California.The incident occurred at the Breslin Center when Anderson stopped play to identify Davis in the stands for making an inappropriate remark while the Spartans led by 21 points.Davis played for Izzo between 2002 and 2006 and had a career in the NBA before returning to support his alma mater as a spectator.
