A 20-year-old German man from Rottenburg am Neckar was rescued after being trapped for over two hours in a narrow 30-centimeter-wide gap at the Austrian ski resort of Sölden.Fire department commander Philipp Fender led the challenging two-and-a-half-hour rescue operation that involved firefighters squeezing into the gap and using a rope system to free him from the precarious situation in extreme cold.
