Privacidad ("Privacy Policy")
Last updated: May 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TID.news ("TID", "we", "us", or "our") collects and uses personal data when you use the TID.news website and feeds (the "Service"). The Service is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and the data controller responsible for your personal data is Dario Dario AB. We are committed to handling your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Swedish data-protection law. For any questions, contact us at mail@tid.news.
Data we collect
- Usage and device data — when you visit the Service, our hosting and analytics providers automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, pages viewed, and referring site.
- Preferences — we store your language, theme, and cookie choices in your browser (via cookies and local storage) so the Service behaves the way you left it.
- Account data — if you choose to sign in, we handle the minimum needed to authenticate you. When you sign in with a third-party provider such as Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from that provider, typically your name, email address, and profile picture. When you sign in with a one-time email link, we process your email address. Sign-in is passwordless; we never receive or store your passwords.
We do not ask for or intentionally collect special categories of personal data. The news content we process comes from public third-party sources and is not your personal data.
How and why we use your data
- to operate, secure, and maintain the Service (legitimate interest);
- to remember your language, theme, and cookie preferences (legitimate interest, or consent where required);
- to authenticate you and provide optional signed-in features (to deliver a service you request);
- to measure and improve how the Service is used, through aggregated analytics (consent, where required);
- to detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or technical problems (legitimate interest);
- to respond to your enquiries (legitimate interest).
Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and local-storage entries to remember your cookie choice, language, theme, and — if you sign in — your session. Subject to applicable law, we also use analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can control or refuse non-essential cookies through your browser settings, and you can ask us to stop analytics processing relating to you by contacting us. Disabling non-essential cookies will not break core functionality.
Service providers
We rely on a limited number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf, including Cloudflare (website hosting and content delivery), Supabase (database and authentication), Google (sign-in, and aggregated analytics via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics), and Apple (sign-in). These providers may only process data according to our instructions and their own data-protection obligations. Our automated summaries are produced using AI services (such as OpenAI and Google) that process publicly sourced news content, not your personal data.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). Where that happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.
Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Server and analytics logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised. If you sign in, we keep your account data until you ask us to delete it or your account becomes inactive. You can request deletion at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to request its correction, deletion, or restriction; to object to certain processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at mail@tid.news. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) or your local supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, make reasonable efforts to highlight them.
