Margaret Marsilla Slams Canada's Assisted Suicide Laws After Son's Death

Margaret Marsilla is accusing Canada of killing the vulnerable after her 26-year-old son, Kiano Vafaeian, was euthanized in December following alleged coaching by Ellen Wiebe.The family claims Kiano Vafaeian, who suffered from diabetes and vision loss, was approved under "Track 2" rules for non-terminal patients without their knowledge.They are now campaigning for the passage of Bill C-218 to restrict assisted suicide for mental illness and repeal provisions they say lack adequate safeguards.
